A few days ago, on the 5th of February, I had an incredible opportunity to get exposed as an artist at a local facility for Black History Month. It was one of my first moments to show off my work and be in the spotlight for little bit. The experience was just awesome. The one thing you have to know is you can't be shy and afraid to speak to people when you are trying to promote yourself as an artist. It's part of "getting yourself out there"! Also, I learned to be a little prepared to speak in front people and when I say in front of people, I mean a room full of an audience where you get behind the podium and speak through a microphone! Wow! And always remember to be thankful to those who help you get opportunities to expose your artwork and those who help you through your experience.
